Why chose a modular housing?
A modular is a tiny home on wheels, furnished and equipped form A to Z. What makes it unique is that it’s possible to move it around pretty much anywhere in Quebec, even in extreme weather conditions. The goal of this concept is to serve victim disasters that are located in remote areas of Quebec and for those who are located in cities where Sinistar does not currently offer temporary housing.
The modular can also be used by disaster victims who would like to remain on their property during the recovery process of their home. In that case, the Modular may be a good alternative, as long as the municipal bylaws allow it.
In extreme cases, the modular can be used as a temporary solution for issues of housing caused by major natural disasters, since their access is limited for a long period of time. The modular therefore has the advantage and the potential to be the cornerstone of a good solution in a situation of major crises.
Eco incineration toilets
An incineration toilet is used to incinerate biological waste. The ashes are completely free of bacteria. The "Cendrillon" incineration toilets are eco-responsible and their installation doesn't require permits in sensitive natural environments.
Thermal inertia of wood
The wooden walls have the capacity to keep the Modular cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The thermal inertia ensures comfort, whatever the temperature.
The glycol heating offers unrivalled comfort to the occupants of the Modular. The floor produces consistent heat for increased energy efficiency.
