How can I be certain of the quality of the accommodations?

We want to you to feel at home in your temporary lodging. So, we’ve implemented practices to control the quality of accommodations posted on our platform. Here are the main ones.

1. Accommodation approval

Before being able to publish an accommodation on Sinistar, hosts must have it approved by one of our agents. Sinistar agents use photos and the description provided to check whether the accommodation:

  • matches its description
  • is adequately furnished and equipped
  • is clean and safe

2. Host ratings

In addition to assessing the accommodations, we also evaluate the hosts. Every host gets a 1-to-5 star rating based on the reviews received on Sinistar.

Hosts have the option of including the reviews received on other accommodation platforms. For example, Airbnb and Vrbo. This enables experienced hosts that start on Sinistar to show a track record of past rentals. Plus, they can post more positive feedback in less time.

3. Comments

Sinistar enables tenants leave comments about their stay at a host’s accommodation.

Hosts can choose to display or not these comments on their profile. They can also display the comments left on other accommodation platforms. This lets you see what other tenants have said about their accommodation.

What if the accommodation is not suitable?

If you’re not satisfied once you arrive at the accommodation, Sinistar will offer a new place at no extra cost.
